Please note: This is a family evening. Students MUST be accompanied by an adult.
SNOWBALL FIGHT​

FIRST TIME EVER! Snowball fighting comes to Love of Reading Night! Challenge your friends and family to a snowball fight... we'll provide the (almost real) snowballs. Books about snow, snowballs and snowmen will be available for reading while you wait your turn.
SPOTLIGHT READERS​
​
We're proud of our readers and we've put them in the spotlight! Throughout the evening we will highlight some of our stellar 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students as they pick up the microphone to inform, entertain, and impress. Stop by the Kaleidoscope courtyard to cheer on our readers.
AUDIENCE for
BATTLE of the BOOKS​

Audience members are needed on the set of the Battle of the Books workshop. Come and cheer on all of our teams as they compete to win America's hottest new game showl
HIGH-TECH BOOK BUILDING​
​
Spend some time with our iPads and computers! Help us write stories about Ventana Vista using a variety of apps and online book-building tools. A teacher will be on-hand for assistance, but a parent must also accompany all students.
BENS BELLS (Kaleidoscope Room)​
​
Ventana Vista's Student Council team up with Ben's Bells in an on-going effort to promote kindness projects here at school. Bens Bells and their community outreach program are about spreading kindness. With small, simple gestures of kindness, we heal and help others, contribute to our home as a more peaceful place, and we increase our own happiness and well-being too. Swing by the Ben's Bells/Student Council booth during the LOR night to help assemble bells for our community. We call it "Ben's Bells and VV Student Council Booth- Reading Our World with Kindness" because that's exactly what we'll be doing. We look forward to seeing you there!
CAMP READ A LOT

Join your friends around the campfire and read aloud or silently from the comfort of a sleeping bag. Flashlights, sleeping bags and books will be provided. Beware...there may be ghost stories!
